Two immigration webinars: June 5 and June 8

Two upcoming webinars present opportunities to learn more about the federal budget process and specific actions churches can take to show hospitality to immigrants.


June 5: Faith community response to an unfaithful budget

In the coming months, the U.S. Congress will debate cuts to the refugee resettlement program and increased funding for immigrant detention, deportations, and border militarization. Join this Interfaith Immigration Coalition webinar to learn how the faith community can strategically respond and engage its constituents on the budget and appropriations process.

Speakers will include Jen Smyers, Church World Service, and Hannah Graf Evans, Friends Committee on National Legislation.
