Tell Congress to support the Dream Act

Action: Urge your members of Congress to support the Dream Act

Background: On Sept. 5, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will be terminated in six months. The DACA program has provided protection from deportation and work permits to nearly 800,000 youth and young adults who were brought to the U.S. as children, including many in Mennonite and Brethren in Christ congregations. Thanks to DACA, thousands of have been able to attend college, work legally, and obtain driver’s licenses. Many now have children of their own. (Read Dmarcos’ story.)
