Contact your members of Congress to tell them to support federal common-sense gun policies
Background: In recent months, there have been many preventable mass shootings that have caused trauma for communities and people throughout the nation. Each year 30,000 people are killed by firearms in the U.S.
It is essential that Congress introduce and pass federal legislation that would promote safe and responsible gun ownership including universal background checks, banning military-style assault weapons and requiring safe-storage measures.
Faith reflection: God tells us of the value of life through Scripture. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13).
Action: Contact your members of Congress to tell them to support federal common-sense gun policies.
