October 28, 2012 Lectionary Reflection

People of faith who work tirelessly toward a better world, either in marginalised communities, or in social structures and policy, or congregational community building, need to take to heart this message from Job and the blind man. Our hard work – indeed, our persistence – will make a difference. That difference may be in our understanding of God’s mysteries, or in eventual changes in present or future realities. Be not discouraged. Today is not the final word.
