DREAMer’s deportation delayed

A follow-up to yesterday’s post on Heydi Mejia, the 18-year-old student who was to be deported a few days after her high school graduation:  her deportation has been delayed for at least a year.  This further serves to illustrate the inconsistencies and cruelties in current immigration policies.  If you can get your story on the front page of the Washington Post, officials will halt your deportation.  However, for the thousands not lucky enough to receive such press, they are left to the whims of a broken system.
