Christina Warner reflects on the lectionary texts for Sunday, August 28:

Stories which tell the narrative of God’s beloved creation are powerful because they refocus conversations on the dignity in God’s creation instead of favoring political strategy.

It is absolutely necessary that we speak these stories and remind policymakers that they cannot overlook creation in favor of political strategy.  In the United States, conversations about procedure are resulting in budget cuts which will further ingrain our country in some of most extreme economic inequality in the world.
