MCC’s partner the Acholi Religious Leaders Peace Initiative, located in Gulu, Uganda, published an October situational report detailing humanitarian developments in the region. According to the report, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) continues to attack civilians in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Sudan. In response to these events, Southern Sudan religious leaders urged the international community to respond to the violence and highlighted how the LRA threatens to further destabilize the region.
